Every heating system needs to be replaced at some point. Heat pumps are no exception. In this detached house, the old heat pump was replaced by a new one. Latest-generation heat pumps are even more energy-efficient and economical.

The former Bleiken community centre today houses three rental apartments, a fire station and some school facilities. Its old oil-fired heating system has been replaced with a modern air/water heat pump supplied by CTA.

There is a large groundwater reserve of extremely high quality in the Aare Valley, between Thun and Bern. Part of the Münsingen community is built on this groundwater area. One neighbourhood in this community features a single-family home that uses the energy from this groundwater for heating.

In a terraced house in Basel, a nano-cooperative is providing heat. This neighbourhood cooperative provides 90% of heating from renewable energy, instead of the previous 33%. This is despite the fact that gas-fired heating systems are still fitted in two of the three residential units.

Eleven buildings with a total of 110 flats. This is "Les Rives de Bramois" in Sion. Remarkably, the buildings only account for 20% of the site area. The remaining 80% are sustainable green spaces and places for non-motorised traffic.
